Significant experience

Elise’s experience includes:

  • Drafting and advising on employment contracts and enterprise agreements.
  • Advising on compliance with the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, awards, enterprise agreements and occupational health and safety laws.
  • Advocating on behalf of clients in Fair Work Commission conciliations of unfair dismissal and general protections claims.
  • Preparing submissions in relation to Fair Work Commission and Court proceedings including unfair dismissal claims, general protections claims, flexible work request disputes, breach of contract claims and industrial disputes.
  • Completing due diligence processes relating to employment practices and advising on associated risks.
  • Presenting on topical workplace relations issues to human resources staff.
  • Drafting of internal workplace policies and procedures such as occupational health and safety, bullying, harassment, discrimination and victimisation, managing ill and injured employees, mental health in the workplace and flexible work policies.
