Rigby Cooke Lawyers assisted DSV Air & Sea on its 10-year lease agreement with Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd (PBPL) for a warehouse and container hardstand on a 4.8ha site on Fisherman Islands, which was announced recently.
Under the lease agreement, PBPL will deliver a purpose-built facility comprising a 16,008m² warehouse, a two-storey operations office, approximately 26,220m² of container-rated hardstand as well as awnings, and designated areas for truck manoeuvring and car parking.
Rigby Cooke Lawyers’ Angela Foudoulis, Special Counsel, assisted DSV AIR & Sea in reviewing the lease agreement. Commenting on the transaction, Angela said:
“This is a fantastic outcome for our client DSV Air & Sea, in which we were very happy to assist with.”
DSV Air & Sea Legal Counsel, Maria Manzanal, commented:
“We are very excited to see that Port of Brisbane have turned the sod on the new warehouse and container depot, which we hope to be in by the end of the year.”
Anticipated to be completed in late 2024, the development will incorporate sustainable design elements including a 100kW solar installation, use of recycled materials in the civil construction, low carbon concrete in external pavements and energy efficient LED light fittings as well as the incorporation of water efficient hydraulic fittings and rainwater tanks for greywater use.
