Our program
The community causes we support are a direct reflection of the social concerns of our staff and the culture of our firm, established through staff surveys and an oversight Committee
comprising of staff. We contribute to the community in which we live and work by offering the following services:
- Pro-bono legal matters:
We assist Not-for-Profit (NFP) organisations, charities and individuals with legal matters including but not limited to leasing, disputes, tax setup of charities and NFPs, commercial contracts, intellectual property and workplace issues. Rigby Cooke Lawyers believes in contributing to the community in which we live and work.
Rigby Cooke Lawyers provides support to Refugee Legal on a pro-bono basis. Refugee Legal is Australia’s largest provider of free specialist legal assistance to people seeking asylum, refugees and disadvantaged migrants. It helps the most vulnerable members for our community, who in some cases have experienced extreme trauma and still face a very uncertain future.
- Volunteering:
In addition to volunteering our legal expertise, we encourage our staff to contribute skills other than legal to charities that require volunteering of other skills in order to provide important services within our community. An important cultural aspect of our firm is that our staff are passionate about lending their time and skills to community causes.
- Donating and fundraising:
We are passionate about engaging friends, family and our corporate community in our Community Giving program. As such, we regularly assist charities through financial and material fundraising and donations.
