The position

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic Marketing & Communications Coordinator to join our Marketing & Business Development team.

This is a hands-on role in which you will work across all aspects of marketing and communications, including administration, branding and desk-top publishing, communications, and events, to deliver key marketing and business development initiatives for the firm.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Business Development, and working alongside partners and lawyers, the successful candidate must be a motivated self-starter who is accountable, has attention-to-detail, and committed to providing high-quality work.

The ideal candidate will exhibit behaviours and actions that align with the firm’s values, have a proven ability to work autonomously, possess strong interpersonal skills and business acumen, and have worked in professional services.

Role responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • perform a range administrative tasks, including monitoring the marketing email Inbox;
  • update and maintain marketing contact lists and eDM marketing platform;
  • create and coordinate eDMs;
  • maintain and update the firm’s website and intranet;
  • coordinate social media, including creating and publishing content across multiple platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook);
  • review, edit and publish news alerts and media releases;
  • review and desk-top publish marketing collateral, including lawyer profiles, practice area brochures, capability statements and advertising, inline with the firm’s brand guidelines;
  • coordinate photography, printing, advertising and corporate branded merchandise;
  • coordinate practice and industry group meetings, including distributing agendas, taking minutes and executing on follow-up actions;
  • assist with internal and external communications;
  • coordinate and execute all aspects of client and major staff events, including creating and sending invitations, managing registrations and dietary requirements, providing regular updates, printing and binding presentations, diarise events and online meetings, and coordinate catering and catering staff as required; and
  • assist Head of Business Development & Marketing in generating Partner reports.

Qualifications, experience and skills required

To be successful in this role, you must: be enthusiastic and have a ‘can-do’ attitude; be a self-starter who will identify, take accountability for, and follow through on, potential opportunities and initiatives; and have a high level of confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or relevant marketing and communications experience within a professional services organisation.
  • Proven experience using eDM, WordPress and Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint)
  • Ability to manage a busy workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills, and creative with attention-to-detail.
