We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Legal Assistant to join our fast-paced Corporate & Commercial team, working closely with our Managing Partner and Head of Corporate & Commercial. We are seeking a career legal assistant who is looking for a long-term role and is committed to becoming an integral part of the team.

This role is for someone who enjoys being fully immersed in matters, taking ownership and playing an active role in achieving the best outcomes for our clients.

The role

  • Prepare and manage legal documentation and correspondence.
  • Manage client files, searches, electronic records, conflicts, AML requirements and matter workflows.
  • Coordinate property, leasing and commercial matters, including key dates, conditions and settlements.
  • Liaise with clients, solicitors and third parties.
  • Manage diaries, meetings, billing, time recording and general administration.
  • Coordinate execution of documents through Docusign and maintain accurate transaction records.

Commercial, property and leasing

  • Prepare and amend commercial documentation
  • Assist with settlement requirements and transaction implementation.
  • Undertake company and PPSR searches through InfoTrack.
  • Stamping of trust deeds through Duties Online.
  • Undertake title, rates and planning searches through InfoTrack.
  • Preparing first draft of a contracts of sale and Section 32 statement, amending with Partner
  • Assist with leases, disclosure statements, renewals, variations and surrenders.
  • Prepare verification of identity documentation.
  • Assist with PEXA and Duties Online matters.
  • Maintain client lease status reports and assist with monthly client meetings.

About you

  • An experienced Senior Legal Assistant with strong commercial law, property and/or leasing.
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to anticipate what is required.
  • Comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, iManage and legal practice management systems.
  • Professional, client-focussed and able to exercise sound judgement.
