Rigby Cooke Lawyers welcomes Adam Stevens as Partner and launches dedicated Medical Negligence practice

Rigby Cooke Lawyers is delighted to announce the appointment of Adam Stevens as Lead Partner of its recently launched Medical Negligence practice.

Adam brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the medical negligence landscape, having dedicated his career to defending medical practitioners and health service providers in the Victorian medical negligence jurisdiction. His extensive expertise spans across the full spectrum of medical industry matters, where he has successfully represented clients in litigated cases in both the Victorian County Court and the Victorian Supreme Court.

Throughout his career, Adam has been involved in matters involving a wide range of medical professionals, including general practitioners, surgeons across various specialties, nephrologists, ENT specialists, endocrinologists, obstetricians, urologists, gastroenterologists, anaesthetists, psychiatrists, and cardiologists. His pragmatic and outcome-focused approach has made him a trusted advocate, ensuring that his clients continue to provide essential medical services with confidence.

Rigby Cooke Lawyers’ new Medical Negligence group is dedicated to representing defendants in complex medical negligence claims and litigation, specialising in areas such as accreditation disputes, coronial investigations and inquests, disciplinary matters, general disputes in the medical industry, complaints in the Health Complaints Commission, informal complaints and claims, as well as litigated and non-litigated professional negligence claims.
