Professional biography:
David joined us as a partner in our Commercial Group during April 2008 after having had over 18 years experience as a commercial lawyer at some of Australia’s major law firms.
His practice covers a broad range of transactional and corporate advisory work, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate structures, energy and natural resources, privatisations, trade practices, securities and general commercial and corporate advice.
Before moving to Australia, David was a commercial litigator in the United States.
Significant experience:
- Advised Boral Limited on joint venture structuring and trade practices
- Advised National Foods Limited and other large Australian corporations on mergers and acquisitions and commercial matters
- Advised numerous international and domestic corporations on Australian restructuring activities
- Public company floats for Skilled Engineering Limited, Alliance Gold Mines NL and Pacific Resources Holdings NL
- Acted for PG&E, GPU and other bidding consortia in the privatisation of Victoria’s electricity industry
- Provided commercial and regulatory advice to CitiPower/Powercor and AGL Electricity
